St. Martin's Island (Bengali: সেন্ট মার্টিন্স দ্বীপ) is a small island (area only 3 km2) in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh. There is a small adjoining island that is separated at high tide, called Chera Dwip. It is about 8 kilometres (5 miles) west of the northwest coast of Myanmar, at the mouth of the Naf River.
Somapura Mahavihara (Bengali: সোমপুর মহাবিহার, romanized: Shompur Môhabihar) in Paharpur, Badalgachhi Upazila, Naogaon District, Bangladesh is among the best known viharas, centres of learning, in the Indian Subcontinent and is one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. It is also one of the earliest sites of Bengal, where significant amount of Hindu statues were found. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.
Sajek Valley (Bengali: সাজেক উপত্যকা) is an emerging tourist spot in Bangladesh situated among the hills of the Kasalong range of mountains in Sajek union, Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati District.[3] The valley is 1,476 feet (450 m) above sea level.[4] Sajek valley is known as the Queen of Hills & Roof of Rangamati.
Cox's Bazar Beach, located at Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, praised as the longest natural sea beach in the world running 150 kilometres (93 mi).[1][2][3][4][5] However it is second longest after Ninety Mile Beach in Australia, though part of Australia's beach is man-made.[6] It is the top tourist destination of Bangladesh.[7][8]
